Mandli
Live dhol, shehnai, and a circle. Zanjar, Saanjh, Madhratri, and Aangan are in this group. Dress is traditional. The night often starts later and runs toward morning. Ticket prices are often a few hundred rupees, until the ground is small and the list is capped.
AC dome
A roof, a stage, and a produced show. Swarnim Nagari, Sachi, Parampara, and Genzatri at Gujarat University sit here. You are paying for the production and, on some nights, a named singer. These are the listings that show up when people search “navratri tickets”.
Techno and CEPT-style
A recorded or mixed beat and a younger circle. Some farms advertise both a mandli hour and a techno hour on the same ground. Read the description before you assume the whole night is folk. After 11:59 at Praveg Adalaj is the late one: it starts when other garbas are winding down.
