Sharad Navratri in Ahmedabad starts on Sunday 11 October 2026, with Ghatasthapana that morning. The garba season is longer than those nine nights. Pre-Navratri garbas run the week before, and a few grounds keep a circle going through 20 October.
What the nine nights actually are
Each night is a separate ticket on most grounds. A “season pass” is nine or ten entries sold as one, not a promise that every night has the same artist. Read the date on the listing. If the start is 11 October and the end is 20 October, you are looking at the whole run. If it is a single evening, that pass is for that evening only.
How to pick
- Start with the area. A farm on SG Highway and a plot in Gota are different drives, even when both say Ahmedabad.
- Then the format. AC dome, open mandli, or an artist night. The format decides the crowd more than the poster does.
- Then the time. Plenty of circles start at 8 or 9 pm and run past midnight. A 6 pm community garba is a different plan.
